Nuffin' but some muffins...

My little muffins came home today uber EXCITED about their training wheel free lifestyle!  The FIRST thing we did is take off the training wheels on the bikes at home (Thanks Dad) at head right to the park!  I'm SO PROUD of them!  Nick @ 4 is such a braveheart.  He pushes himself even when scared. How admirable!  Nathan... that child is a daredevil all THE way!  After zipping around the park, he wanted me to take some action shots of him jumping off the porch. (repeatedly)  I see this kids "adventurous spirit" is where my "heart condition" will develop.

Brave

Nonetheless, no bumps, scrapes or bruises to reports.  All craniums are healthy and well and as reward, MMMMMMUFFINS! YUM!Nuffinbutamuffin

Friday Night Lights

3/29/2013 - It's a Holiday weekend!!! Woot Woot!!

Camp2
Friday, after school and work, the boys and I headed to the grocer to pick up our weekend treats.  When we got home, one of our cooool neighbors invited us by to join them fireside for smores! YUM!   The weather was just right and the kids were SO excited to hang out!  We've never made smores! Ever!  Fun and Yum!
Camp1
I love the smokey aroma and ambiance of fresh fire! (Comforting)  Who wouldn't love this type of neighbor-spoiling??  Tall glass of icy cold dark beer, warm fireside, yummy treats, playmates, a juicy baby AND a mommy-comrade to chat with!!  Such an awesome way to spend a cool spring night and kick off the weekend!!

It's Monday YO!

3/18/13

Yummyyo

Mondays. UGH!  That pretty much sums up how I feel about it!  After a mean run with a weekend stomach bug Nick had and St. Patrick day partying with the boys on Sunday, this Monday Mourning started off VERY slowly.  (*cough cough - Mommy woke up late - cough cough*)   Rightfully so, in conjuction with having Tums for breakfast. I think my stomach was trying to pack up and run by 3am. Tag, I'm IT!  First Nathan, Then Nick and hopefully for me, this 24hr bug comes and goes in the same wave. I don't have time for Chuck! I stuck to clear liquid today and managed to tough it out at work.

It's Spring Break Week for Nathan and he's having fun as usual hanging out at Carrie's with friends, while Nick has quite the "treat" going on at school this week.  Today the class made brownies!  Tomorrow, they go to Krispy Kreme donut shop on a class field-trip for breakfast! WOWZER!  I guess Monday's only suck for adults! LOL

Well... luck be a lady tonight!  I picked up Nick early (as promised) and he decided that the family was having Orange Leaf for dinner.  Hey! Who am I to object. I still have a strong case of the Monday Blah's... so Dessert Restaurants count too!!  Just one of those days!  It sure was YUMMY Fro-YO!

Blog to Book...

"IT" has arrived!!

Bookpost4

When MEMORY serves in authenticity...we can truly appreciate WHERE we've been,  WHAT we've done and WHO we are!!  -RR

Bookpost3 Bookpost2
Bookpost1

We all change.  I've found that childhood and motherhood is full of endless change and transition.  As we focus on the primary of the present and the promises of our future, may we still look upon our past in testimony of our blessings. Life is not an audition. It is THE script and motion picture. So as grand, high, low or distant any single time may be, we should OWN every part of it.  The only way to GROW ourselves, is to KNOW ourselves and to OWN ourselves.  From there... every day is an opportunity to improve, learn, love, live and leap!

I'm so glad I chose to write it down and click a few pics along the way.  Really proud that I accomplished this for THEM. {For me}  Endless sentimental value... Here's a deal to save $20 off of your book order: http://bit.ly/ZvCuZT

BLURB BOOK

The N Boys Blog 2008 | Make Your Own Book

I'm sure this book has been semi-built and sitting in my BookSmart software for year(s). YES YEARS!  There are two intentions of The N Boys Blog: 1) To treasure our life together, reflecting in image and story AND 2)To preserve and keep!  So, the goal is and has always been to publish the annual content for keepsake using Blurb. I FINALLY did it!! 1 year down, 4 more to go! Better late than never! I'm so glad I can do this for the children to always remember where they've come from: LOVE, How they've lived: WITH LOVE and WHO they are: LOVED...

May we never forget who we are, what we have and ALWAYS cherish one another, taking no moment, day or time for granted!

S.N.O.W = {S}hoveling, {N}o School, {O}ut-Of-Office & {W}et Clothes!

Snowday1
2/21/13 - Due to impending weather, the boys and I stayed home this morning. School has been shut down and many business' closed early. The winter advisory - SNOW, and LOTS of it!  It's been snowing since noon, pretty much non-stop and it's after 8pm now!

(CNN) About 60 million people -- 20% of the U.S. population -- are under winter weather warnings, watches and advisories in the 750,000 square miles affected.-- A massive winter storm spanning 20 states could dump as much as a foot and a half of snow in some places Thursday and bring life to a standstill in parts of the central United States.

YIKES!
What can we do other than brace ourselves?!?! Well, HELLO STORM, the MIDWEST checking in here!  Chicken N' Waffles for breakfast, #SafeNSound@Home with the N Boys!

Moviesinbed

Nick's the first one up watching Beauty & The Beast!  So, it's Disney movies and playtime for them!  Remote log-in to work for ME!  The boys were excited to use their umbrellas for the snow of all things LOL.  So when their Dad picked them up after lunchtime, they were bundled head to toe, umbrellas UP! I was able to get out, gas up and pick up some common items for the house early this afternoon before any heavy accumulation. I figured I'd get a head start and shovel out the driveway too at around 4 inches.  Not too bad besides a frozen face, wet clothes and frosty lenses.  Even made a beach bum for this SEA of snow! Snowday2
...and besides who even needs a freezer when you've got snow around?   When life gives ya Frost, make Frosty Treats and live Happy!!Snowday3

I LIKE being snowed in. Yea, I said it. Besides...with all that snow out there...what's left to do than stay in the house, read, websurf, channel surf, OVEReat, facebook-ing, tweeting, BLOGGING, sleeping, cleaning and in my case being #CUTE&CREATIVE!!!  :o) :o)

I'm going to enjoy the rest of this snowday before the backbreaking shoveling, tense driving and inconveniences kick in!

~little BOY | BIG heart~

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Sweetsweetnicholas
Of my two boys, Nicholas is the most like me.  There's sooo many similarities!  He looks like me, sometimes acts like me, is moody like me (haha!),  is a foodie like I am, we both have sensitive skin and the list just goes on. He already shows a love of many of the same things I like.  God BLESS him!    He gets really festive for the holidays nowadays.   Like me, he enjoys the prep work and novelty of it all.  Just what I need to egg me on huh?

A SWEET SIDEKICK!!

For Valentine's Day prep, Nick brought a shoe box home from school to decorate as his inbox. Nathan grabbed one out of our closet too to participate in the project.  After a few power ranger stickers and a sharpee, I'd say Nathan was done with the fun in less than 5 minutes. Nick, however... He DECKED his box out in wrapping paper, stickers, cut outs, personal messages and then some. Hey! I'm not complaining one bit. Who do ya think was right there, cutting and gluing and writing and taping right alongside of him the entire time?  Haha!

His box turned out wonderfully and he REALLY put his thought, heart and effort into picking out his cards, choosing them per each friend and writing out his name AND their name(s) on each one.  ALL BY HIMSELF.  I'm soooo thrilled he enjoys being creative and giving. Those two things are like AIR and WATER for me!    This week I got ANOTHER sweet gift from my kiddo he'd been working on at school.  Take a look at what was inside: Coasters

Feburary 18, 2013  - You both now have a special star in the sky each to wish upon your wildest dreams!  ML = Mommy's LOVE   {The Universe is Yours!}  Here are your dedications:

"To Nathan:  When I became a mother, you changed the moon, the earth and the stars! You have since been MY WORLD! Aim for the moon my son, and even if you miss you will still be amongst the stars. I have guaranteed your SPOT IN SPACE with the ML Nathonius  (code for Mommy's Love for Nathan)  I used to joke that Nathonia was a special "world/land" of your own and I was just a humble Nathonian servant. YOU, however, are the creator and facilitator!  Anything is possible my love! "

Nickstar1

I just adore these two little shining stars Nicholias and Nathonius!  I presented their stars to them tonight along with the Kids Bop 23 "Diamonds" song (Which they LOVE to sing out loud!) and they both wished for MORE toys on their own stars tonight!! LOL  I also got keepsake engraved shining stars for keepsakes to remind them of their presense in space.

Stars

When you wish upon a *STAR*
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you...

If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a *STAR*
As dreamers do...
